Skincare for the Festive Period

Christmas is one of the busiest and most social times of the year! From Christmas parties to work nights out, it doesn’t take long before your social calendar starts filling up. However, it is important we don’t let these late nights and festive season indulgence begin to show on our complexion. Here at Enhanced Aesthetics, we know all there is to know about skincare and how to maintain a flawless complexion. We recommend different tips and tricks to our clients on a daily basis.

Maintain a Consistent Skincare Routine

We’ve all come in from a messy, Christmas night out and slept in our makeup! Admittedly, this isn’t the best thing for our skin but it isn’t the end of the world. Maintaining a consistent skincare routine during the busy festive season can keep your complexion looking clear and smooth. Remember, makeup sits and looks better on smooth and hydrated skin! It is important to remember to exfoliate and use face masks, asswel as moisturising daily. This will keep your skin hydrated and prevent your pores from clogging up.

Remember Nutrients are key

There are vital nutrients we need to obtain from a fresh and healthy diet to nourish our skin from the inside out, while a varied skincare regime will help nourish our skin topically. Vitamins A, B, C and Zinc are key to maintaining clear, smooth skin. Superfoods, such as blueberries, green tea and leafy greens are all packed with antioxidants that will give your skin and body that rejuvenating top up, perfect for the festive season.

Keep on top of your Sleep

It’s called beauty sleep for a reason! The body systematically replenishes itself while you sleep so the skin is at its most receptive to nourishing natural activities at night while the natural rejuvenation process occurs. If you’re not getting a regular amount of sleep, add an overnight face mask to your reduced sleep routine. Overnight face masks are a great way to boost the skin’s natural process of rejuvenation which occurs while you sleep.

Increase your Water Intake

Increased daily water intake combined with good cleansing habits is the aim of the game for blemish-prone skin during the festive season where late nights and overindulging become the norm! Water, water, water! Increasing your water intake or drinking at least 8 glasses of water a day will help rid the body and skin of toxins, help to keep skin hydrated, supple and with more of a radiant glow!

Here, at Enhanced Aesthetics we hope that all our clients have the best possible Christmas! We can’t wait to see everyone in the New Year and remember to book in for any treatments with us today!
